Their duties include directing Accounting Managers and department operations, compiling financial reports based on financial statements and implementing policies and procedures for financial reporting.
Responsibilities ? Prepare financial documents such as business reports, financial forecasts, and statements to understand the financial state of business ? Completion of financial statements accurately and timely in accordance with GAAP ? Supervise employees who work under the controller in preparing financial reports and managing day to day financial functions ? Assist management with important financial decisions ? Monitor the company's financial reports and determine ways to reduce costs ? Maintain general ledgers and sub ledgers (i.
e.
Prepaids & Accruals, Debt), oversee the GL account analysis, and prepare recurring and other journal entries.
? Manage and oversee all aspects of accounting including but not limited to, A/P, A/R, cash receipts, reconciliations, month-end and year-end close.
? Prepare monthly reporting packages for management review ? Assist with financial or insurance audits and reviews performed by third parties to ensure accuracy and proper justification of financial records.
? Create and maintain policies and procedures to improve internal controls and documentation purposes.
? Prepare 1099 yearly forms Position Requirements ? Bachelor's degree in accounting required, preferred CPA ? 7-10 years of public accounting or related financial experience ? Minimum 3-5 years of supervisory experience ? Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate results to management ? Expert in word processing and use of platforms such as Microsoft Office, Google Docs/Sheets, etc.
